Pure & Original is a Belgian paint and decorative finish brand known for its distinctive mineral-based paints and textured wall finishes. Its products offer a beautiful alternative to conventional wall paint, bringing natural-looking movement, depth and character to interior spaces.
Some of the qualities that make these finishes popular include:
- Natural mineral appearance: Lime-based formulations create a soft, organic look that is difficult to achieve with conventional paint.
- Unique tonal variation: Brushwork and application technique create subtle movement, depth and variation across the wall.
- Beautiful matte finishes: The surfaces have a soft, velvety appearance that works particularly well in contemporary and traditional interiors.
- Different decorative effects: From the cloudy appearance of Fresco to the textured, plaster-like look of Marrakech Walls.
- Versatile design applications: Suitable for feature walls, bedrooms, living spaces, dining rooms, restaurants, retail spaces and other interiors.
Pure & Original Fresco Lime Paint
Fresco is Pure & Original’s signature lime paint, designed to create the characteristic cloudy, softly textured look of traditional limewash.
Applied with a special block brush, Fresco produces subtle tonal variation and a beautiful matte finish. The final appearance depends on the colour selected, the surface underneath and the movement of the brush during application.
Fresco is an excellent choice for clients who love the natural, imperfect beauty of limewash and want to introduce warmth and texture without creating a heavily textured wall.

Pure & Original Marrakech Walls
Marrakech Walls is a decorative lime-based plaster paint that creates a more substantial, textured appearance than traditional limewash.
Applied using a combination of brushwork and trowel techniques, it can create finishes ranging from soft, concrete-like surfaces to more polished, burnished effects. The final result depends on the application technique and desired appearance.
Marrakech Walls is a great option for clients looking for the character of decorative plaster with a distinctive, handcrafted finish.

Our Pure & Original Limewash Application Process
At Paint Club, we believe that the final result depends just as much on preparation and technique as it does on the product itself. Every project starts with understanding the space, the desired appearance and the condition of the walls.
1. Consultation & Colour Selection
We’ll discuss your project, review inspiration images, and help you decide whether Fresco, Marrakech Walls, or another decorative finish is the best fit. We can also help with colour selection and samples.
2. Surface Preparation
Proper preparation is essential for a consistent finish. Existing walls may require repairs, sanding, priming or other preparation depending on the substrate and the product being used. Pure & Original recommends specific primers, such as Wallprim, for many previously painted or non-mineral surfaces.
3. Professional Application
Our team applies the selected finish using the appropriate brushes, tools and techniques. We pay close attention to movement, texture and tonal variation to create a balanced result throughout the space.
4. Final Details & Protection
Once the finish is complete, we review the final appearance and discuss any recommended protection or aftercare. Certain sealers may be appropriate depending on the product and intended use, although they can change the appearance and colour of the finish.
Important: While we order Pure and Original supply for your project, we don’t sell individual containers of the product to the public. The Pure and Original brand is available for purchase via pureoriginalcanada.com, but our offering is a full service application package—colour → prep → application → finish
